The third edition of The Steelville shows the multiple applications of steel.

The Steelville reaches its third edition with news. The visitor will be able to see the process of steel usage in the construction work of the Brazilian stadiums for the 2014 World Cup and appreciate steel and concrete structures in hotels, stations, bridges, footbridges and infrastructure, beyond the applications of light steel framing, dry and light construction.

In “School Village” the visitors will also be able to know the strategic importance of steel to Brazilian Economy. It will be demonstrated, using full-size replicas, how steel changes cities and collaborates to improve both urban and rural spaces. Expositions of alternatives for roofs and facades, as well as furniture, will also be presented.

“The focus of this edition is environmental sustainability, once steel can be infinitely recycled without any loss of quality. We want to show that steel is the material of the future”, said Catia Mac Cord, director of marketing and economy for the Brazil Steel Institute.

Next edition of Steelville will be happening concomitantly with the 23rd Brazilian Steel Conference & ExpoSteel 2012, promoted by the Brazil Steel Institute, from June 26th to June 28th, at Transamerica Expo Center, São Paulo. The Village has already been exposed in Brasilia, Belo Horizonte, Porto Alegre, Rio de Janeiro and also São Paulo. The last edition took place at Construction Expo 2011. Until today, more than 31 thousands of people have already visited this mini town that will be exposed in 2012 for the eighth time.

Admission to the Steel Village is free.

ExpoSteel 2012 will be held parallel to the Conference. It is a business fair with over 3,700 m2 of constructed area, with the participation of steel and mining companies, suppliers of equipment, services and technological innovation for the steel production chain. Besides delegates, visitors will be granted free access to the area.
