Promotions for Visitors

ExpoSteel Visitors:

- Drawing of 2 iPADs and 03 visits to Gerdau detailing the steel production process. The Institute will be in charge of air travel, transportation and food expenses.(Only between Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro)

University students:

- Drawing of 03 free registrations for the 23rd Brazilian Steel Conference. University Students present at ExpoSteel on June 27 by 08:30 may participate.

Professors:

- Professors or course coordinators taking the highest number of university students to ExpoSteel may WIN at the end of the event:

  • 1st place: 1 iPad, 01 visit to Gerdau (including air travel, transportation and meals) and a package of publications by the Brazil Steel Institute for one year;
  • 2nd place: 01 visit to Gerdau (including air travel, transportation and meals) and a package of publications by the Brazil Steel Institute for one year;
  • 3rd place: A package of publications by the Brazil Steel Institute for one year.

Students must fill the name of the professor and the university in the registration form at the website, answering the question “How did you learn about the event?”. The number of students effectively attending the fair will be accounted for the final result.


ExpoSteel 2012 Promotion Rules


ExpoSteel Visitors:

  • 1. All people registered as “Visitor” at ExpoSteel, whether by the site or by registration at the venue, who effectively pick up their badges from the event’s Secretary, will participate in the draw.
  • 2. The draw will be held on June 28 at the event venue, with notificaiton made to the winners within five working days.
  • 3. Should the contact information provided by the winner(s) be inaccurate and/or the Brazil Steel Institute be unable to contact same within three working days, the Institute will hold a new draw including the remaining visitors as qualified in item 1.
  • 4. Air travel (São Paulo – Rio de Janeiro – São Paulo) and transportation reservations will be made by an agency appointed by the Brazil Steel Institute. Lunch will be during the visit at the Gerdau.
  • 5. The visit to the Gerdau will take place on a date to be informed by the Brazil Steel Institute, with the presence of a professional of the company accompanying the group throughout the visit.
  • 6. Should the winning visitor be unable to participate of the visit on the date apponted, he/she must provide a minimum 72-hour notice to the Brazil Steel Institute, so a new draw may be held.
  • 7. The prize is personal and non-transferable. Substitutions or changes will not be allowed.
  • 8. Exception cases will be analyzed by the Brazil Steel Institute, who reserves the right to modify the rules above, in case it deems necessary.

University Students:

  • 1. All University Students registered as “Visitor” at ExpoSteel, whether by the site or by registration at the venue, present at ExpoSteel on June 27, by 08:30, will participate in the draw.
  • 2. The draw will occur at 08:45 and the results will be announced by the event’s Secretary.
  • 3. The winning participants must report to the Secretary for the substitution of their badges by Congress Participant badges, which will allow participation of all activities during the 23rd Brazil Steel Meeting and ExpoSteel 2012. The winners will also receive Congress Participant’s material and will be granted access to the restaurant for lunch on June 27.
  • 4. The program of the Brazil Steel Meeting will be available at www.acobrasil.org.br/congresso2012
  • 5. Students who fail to report to the Secretary to receive their new congress participant badges by 09:10 will be substituted by other university students, also selected by draw. The prize is personal and non-transferable.
  • 6. Exception cases will be analyzed by the Brazil Steel Institute, who reserves the right to modify the rules above, in case it deems necessary.

Professors:

  • 1. All professors and/or course coordinators whose names are appointed by university students registered as “Visitor” at ExpoSteel in their registration forms, whether by the site or by registration at the venue, who effectively pick up their badges from the event’s Secretary, will participate in the promotion.
  • 2. The appointment of professors and/or couse coordinators must be made by filling in the complete information after the question “How did you learn about the event?”. The student must include the full name of the University and the full name of the professor and/or coordinator as answer to that question.
  • 3. The assessment will be concluded within 5 working days as from the end of ExpoSteel, at the offices of the Brazil Steel Institute, with a deadline of another 5 working days subsequent to those for notification of the winners.
  • 4. The professors and/or course coordinators must be registered at ExpoSteel and/or the Brazil Steel Meeting, and must pick up their badges from the event’s Secretary.
  • 5. Should the contact information provided by the winner(s) be inaccurate and/or the Brazil Steel Institute be unable to contact same within three working days, the Institute will consider the subsequent order in number of students, i.e.: in the absence of the 1st place, the 2nd place will become 1st, 3rd will become 4th and 4th will become 3rd. This will be followed until all prizes have been awarded.
  • 6. Air travel (São Paulo – Rio de Janeiro – São Paulo) and transportation reservations will be made by an agency appointed by the Brazil Steel Institute. Lunch will be during the visit at the Gerdau.

  • 10. Exception cases will be analyzed by the Brazil Steel Institute, who reserves the right to modify the rules above, in case it deems necessary.

Remarks:

  • Registration is free and valid only for access to the Exhibit and to the Village.
  • Attendees under 18 years old will be granted access only when accompanied by their teachers.
  • People wearing t-shirts, sweatshirts, bermudas, sandals or inapropriate attire will be denied access.

ExpoSteel 2012 will be held parallel to the Conference. It is a business fair with over 3,700 m2 of constructed area, with the participation of steel and mining companies, suppliers of equipment, services and technological innovation for the steel production chain. Besides delegates, visitors will be granted free access to the area.
